Housing Choice Voucher

A Tenant-Based Voucher is a component of the Federal Housing Choice Voucher Program. A voucher is provided to an eligible family or individual, which allows them to locate housing of their choice, including single-family homes, townhouses, apartments, and mobile homes.

LIHTC

College Oaks of Mt. Vernon

College Oaks of Mt. Vernon is a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) property containing fifty (50) single family three (3) and four (4) bedroom units.

Multifamily

Rose Lane Apartments

Rose Lane Apartments is a Federally funded development consisting of 112 units of one and two bedrooms. The development is located in a residential area of Mt. Vernon just off of Broadway and 42nd Street.

No matter how often you ride a bike – whether it's every day, once a week, or occasionally – we want your input for the Mt. Vernon Bicycle Master Plan. Participate in the online survey and share your ideas regarding recommended bike routes, preferred destinations, and any existing obstacles that may hinder biking in Mt. Vernon. Additionally, the survey offers a mapping tool that allows you to provide location-specific comments on a map of the City.

Visit the Bicycle Master Plan booth during Market Days on Saturday, September 9th, located at Veteran's Park. Come by and learn more about the plan while enjoying the event.

Mt. Vernon is participating in developing a bicycle master plan that the Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission is facilitating on behalf of the City of Mt. Vernon and the City of Benton. The purpose of the bicycle master plan will be to guide future bicycle improvements in Mt. Vernon with short, intermediate, and long-term implementation strategies. We are saddened by the passing of long time Housing Authority Commissioner Joe Wilks. Commissioner Wilks served on our Housing Authority board for over thirty years, his dedication and love for our residents and the community will be greatly missed.
